『Lotus Lake』
Lotus Lake is the biggest lake in Kaohsiung City. With reflections of Banpinshan
on the water, the "Spring and Autumn Pavilions" and the "Dragon and Tiger Pagodas",
Lotus Lake attracts visitors from all over the world. Bicycle Path around Lotus Lake.

The bicycle path runs around the eastern and southern sides of Lotus Lake, allowing visitors to do a bit of exercise while viewing the lake

 

Tianhou Temple at Cihou』
Built in 1673 by fisherman Ah-hua Xu and company, the Cihou Tienhou Temple serves as a place of respect for the sea Goddess, Matsu.

With the honorable fact of being the oldest temple in Kaohsiung, it holds many delicate sculptures and impressive paintings; most of which were painted by artist - Yufong Chen.

 

『Cihou Lighthouse』
Construction of the Cihou Lighthouse was completed in 1918, and the building stands next to the Cihou Gun Emplacement.

This baroque-style lighthouse is open to the public from 9:00am until 4:00pm each day (exceptMondays) and gives visitors uninterrupted views of Kaohsiung Harbor, Sizihwan Bay, and Cihou Beach
 

『Cijin Wind Turbine Park』
Located at Chungchou Beach, the seven windmills of the Cijin Seaside Park generate a combined daily power output of 79,000 watts, which is enough power to satisfy the evening energy demand of the Cijin area.

Fo Guang Shan, a religious shrine where monks and disciples enjoy equality, integrates Buddhist culture, education, dharma, pilgrimage, charity, and tourism at home and abroad, in ancient and modern times, and has the characteristics of schools and welfares as well as the popularized and internationalized characteristics.

All its buildings displayed the Master's ideals and spirits of building“a pure land on earth”.

Fo Guang Shan was originally a barren mountain. Within only several decades, it has been established as the first Buddhist Order in Taiwan.

The magnificence of its buildings, spaciousness of its temples, sculptures of its Buddhist statues, designs of its courtyards, and the arrangement of its palace are unusual and unique.
